Update on The Ongoing Attacks on Public Sector Workers

Extremist Politicians Want Your Union Gone.

For decades, public sector workers in Florida have stood together to build a middle-class life. We’ve fought for—and won—contracts that ensure a teacher can afford a home, a bus driver has healthcare for their kids, and a city clerk can’t be fired just because a new manager doesn’t like them.

But those protections are being attacked by the wealthy and well-connected who will stop at nothing to fill their own pockets.

Join the fight!

To protect your rights at work, here’s what you need to do:

  1. Join the Union today. Sign up to pay monthly dues – this is how the state determines if you are a member in good standing
  2. Sign your authorization card
  3. Volunteer to get involved and talk to your coworkers

Signing an Authorization Card

BM/ST Richard Jones and Business Representative Andy Williams explain what signing a Representation Card means.  It allows the union to negotiate a contract for the employees.  It does not encourage you to pay dues to the union. It is critical to fill out, print out, and sign a representation card in order to hold a vote.
